Sincerely Yours Machine Embroidery 4 part class

Hello Ladies:
I have your embroidery CD and supplies now at the store. If you did the last flower embroidery quilt in class with me, you can purchase the Sulky Tear Easy by the bolt or on the roll, at least 5 yards. Purchase 3 yards of the Fabric Prep and 3 yards of Soft Fuse.
If you are new to this process, I have your supplies all bagged up and ready for you.
Please check this supply list again before class as I keep adding information. I look forward to working on this class with you.

Print all files that are printable from your design CD. Put into a notebook with clear plastic pages (sheet protectors)
Download the designs for your model of machine to a USB stick that will work in your machine

Before class
Prewash your fabric if you think it may bleed onto your background fabric. I don't know if it will or not so if you worry, pre wash all fabric.
Stream press all your fabric.
Spray your background fabric with Mary Ellen's Best press and steam it.
You will need 4 plus yards of background fabric if you are doing all the background the same color. Just 4 yards is cutting it close, so if that is all you have then we get creative with our colors and add another color background. Or purchase more background.
Before class I want you to cut a 13 inch piece by width of fabric and sub cut into 3 - 13 inch squares

Supplies you will need:

Tear Easy stabilizer by Sulky - 1 roll to start but you will need lots more
Fabric Prep by Quilters Select - 3 yards to start
Soft Fuse  - 3 yards to start

A lint roller
Snip Ease scissors (I will have at time of class to show you).
Small sharp point appliques scissors,
Mini iron - I will have at class to show you. This is the Clover Mini Iron that has about a 1 inch tip. If you own one already, bring it along with a ceramic mug to hold it in so it doesn't roll off table. I will have in stock at class time and will demo if you want to purchase one.
Ironing surface as a wool mat
Sharp point tweezers
Fray Check
Applique Press Sheet
Bobbin thread which is 60wt. in white. You will want several bobbins wound
40wt embroidery thread in colors for your quilt
All basic sewing and embroidery supplies
Small travel iron and iron surface. You will need a ceramic tile to put iron on in class as they do burn through the wool mat and they burn the tables. (or something similar so tables don't get burn marks
Bring hoops that are 240 x 150 and larger. If you have an Epic, the 260 x 260 is great for the square blocks.
Highlighter pen and pen and paper for notes
Blue Wash Out marker fine tip
