- HOME SWEET HOME embroidery pattern by Janine Babich.
- 1/3 yd. fabric for background & backing.
- Scrap fabric for appliqued beehive (at least 2 1/2 x 3").
- 1/4 yd fusible fleece - pattern recommends Pellon Thermolam Plus TP71F.  Pellon 987F will work also.
- Fusible Web- scrap (2 1/2 x 3") - Heat & Bond Lite, Steam-a-Seam 2, SoftFuse. Any of these will work.
- Mesh Cutaway Stabilizer.
- Tear Away Stablizer. I used medium weight. Light weight will work too.
- Embroidery threads to coordinate with your chosen fabrics.  On pages 1 & 2 of the pattern, color changes are described.  It lists 17 color changes; however, I reused colors throughout.  Make sure to include an embroidery thread to blend with your background fabric for the finishing stitch.  
- 1/3 yd. grosgrain (woven) or satin ribbon to complement panels - 1/2" or 5/8" W.
- Steam-a-Seam 2 fusible tape 1/4" (optional)
- Kimberbell Paper Tape instead of scotch tape.
- One TripTic wire stand 4 x 9" from Ackfeld.
- Embroidery needles or topstitch needles 90/14.
- USB stick.
- Sulky KK200.  Other temporary spray adhesive will work too.

- Embroidery machine with embroidery foot and embroidery arm.  Bring other accessories you might need for your embroidery machine.
- Applique scissors, embroidery scissors and regular scissors for cutting fabric.
- 5 3/4 x 8 or larger hoop.  240 x 150 (5 x 7) works too.  I use 260 x 200.
- General sewing and embroidery tools - seam ripper, tweezer, rotary cutter/mat/ruler, erasable pen/pencil, pencil to name a few.  Mini iron and ironing pad and press cloth (A piece of fabric to lay on top of ironing project for protection.  I use a piece of muslin.).
- White embroidery bobbin thread.  Wind 3-4 bobbins before class. 
- I often use a Purple Thang or a stiletto for embroidery (optional). 

- Download HOME SWEET HOME design to USB stick in your embroidery machine format.
- Read all pattern directions.
- Buy supplies & materials.  On the disc, Janine Babich includes other design colors.  You can also search the internet and find images of this embroidery design for ideas.  Or keep it simple and duplicate the cover pattern colors.  
- Cut fabric for background and backing.  Prep the applique fabric as noted in directions.  Cut fusible fleece.
- Cut 3, Cut Away Mesh stabilizer pieces to fit your hoop (Cut about 1" larger than hoop all the way around).  Cut 3, Tear Away stabilizer pieces 5 x 8" (These will float under your hoop when embroidering.) 
- Label all pieces as you cut them.
