January Embroidery Club 2025

Happy New Year Everyone!
This month we will make a fun Valentine Treat Bag.

Your kit will have fabric for the outside and lining. Ribbon for drawstrings and vinyl for the peek a boo front. Kit fee will be charged at classtime. If you miss a class, you will have a kit waiting for you after the scheduled class.

You need to bring:
5 x 7 hoop or 6 x 10 hoop. Depending on the field your machine will sew.
Tear away stabilizer to fit the hoop. You will be doing two hoopings so bring your roll. Have one piece in the hoop before class ready to go.
White 60 wt bobbin thread. This thread is bobbin thread not your regular sewing or quilting thread. It is lighter in weight and thus used when embroidering.
40 wt embroidery thread in Red, White & Pink. This thread is a 40wt and used for machine embroidery. It is not your regular sewing or quilting thread.
90/14 needle. Installed in machine before class
Small class iron and iron mat
Small Class rotary mat and rotary cutter, A ruler about 6 .5 x 12. 5
1 safety pin - size medium or a bobkin
Embroidery machine, embroidery foot, extra bobbins, foot control and power cord and all accessories for your machine and embroidery unit.  You will need sewing feet also as you will sew besides embroider. So that means if you use a straight stitch needle plate for embroidery, you will also need your zig zag plate. 
Optional but helpful - Edge joining foot or a zig zag foot with the guide in the middle
1/4" Steam a Seam Tape or 1/2" steam a seam tape OR strips of steam a seam
Kimberbell Paper Tape
Point Turner - RNK brand is great for this project 
Applique Scissors
Wonder Clips

Basic sewing and embroidery supplies  - this is a short list and not limited to. Just have in your embroidery kit each month for class
Hoops - always look for the hoop I am suggesting but bring several to make sure you have the correct one.

Arrive 15 minutes before class to set up. Please put your machine luggage back in car.
