We are finally here. It has been a wonderful 12 months creating this quilt. You have outer border and binding in your kit. Some have decided to replace these fabrics with other brighter Kimberbell Fabrics. It is your quilt finish as you wish. Stop in the store to see the many options. You can always use the fabrics in kit in a differnt project.
If you decided to purchase more, you will need 1/2 yd for outer border and 3/8 yd for binding.
You may trim all your blocks to size using the Kimberbell Orange Pop Rulers. Refer to each months instructions for correct trim size and special instructions.
Before class spray starch and cut the inner and outer border pieces. NOTE! Use the cutting size instructions for the block by block cutting instructions!
Cut the batting pieces for the borders. Cut and apply the fusible backing to wrong side of your starched fabrics. Please do before class.
Bring all your blocks to class. You will need your sewing machine feet and stitch plate. A walking foot is very helpful!
*Bring your background quilting desings from previous months. Keep each months designs and background quilting on one USB stick to keep organized and all designs together.
Spray starch your fabrics before class, press
Apply Fusible backing to pieces required
Thread colors: charcoal/black, cream, peach, dark green, light green, blue/purple, yellow, pinks, red, and colors of choice
Wash Away Thread - wind some on a bobbin
Mesh Stabilizer
Bring several hoops including your longest hoop. It makes embroidering borders easier.
